About/History

CRD (Component Roadster Development) started in 1989 when Italian-born Candido Cavaliere ordered and assembled his first kit car.  After building many classics such as the Shelby Cobra, Austin Healey 3000, Jaguar SS 100, '29 Mercedes, rods like the '34 Ford coupe, and muscle cars like the Camaro RS/SS, CRD decided to specialize on the manufacture of the 1967 Big Healey, which has been out of production and is still in great demand.

CRD produces spectacular roadsters with all the "good stuff" under the hood.
